I had the misfortune to see and hear the plane that crashed into the Pentagon fly over my house just seconds before it crashed. I had to find a way to get that image out of my head and into the world as a piece of art. I experienced real trauma from this event but acknowledging it and processing it through my creative vision was a tremendous balm to my spirit.
